Oath of allegiance

Example: An oath by which a person promises and binds himself or herself to bear allegiance to a particular sovereign or government, and to support the Constitution, administered to certain public officers, to members of National Assembly, members of government on holding their offices, to attorneys on being admitted to the bar, etc.
